The next morning, Joyce, Will's mother, realizes her son is missing, and rushes to the police station to meet with Chief Calvin Powell. Meanwhile, the monster, the Demogorgon, kidnaps Will Byers. Martin Brenner and his agents looking for her. So yeah, Demogorgons should not be held accountable for their actions throughout the series (killing/eating humans & one tragic cat) any more than Will should for what he did while he was possessed in 1984.Īfter opening an interdimensional gate and inadvertently letting a monstrous creature loose, test subject Eleven escapes into the woods of Hawkins, Indiana from Hawkins National Laboratory, with Dr. The only other creature in the Upside Down that Demogorgons could possibly prey on would be Demobats. I think that the Demogorgons only started attacking other creatures for food once they were under the indirect control of Vecna because there were no humans or cats in the Upside Down (at least naturally). Honestly, the Demogorgons' biology is complicated. I don't think that Demogorgons naturally can sense blood from far distances because given that their natural diet consists only of those eggs they wouldn't need that power. Of course, it possibly did not sense Henry, but I think that's unlikely. As far as we know, Demogorgons' natural diet consists of those weird yellow eggs found in the Upside Down, not flesh, because as we see the Demogorgon did not attack Henry Creel when he was exploring the Upside Down. And honestly-at least for the Demogorgons-docile animals.
